Jermaine McCarthy was elected as the new Secretary. Jermaine comes to us with a strong systems development background and he was largely responsible for the new STGCFL website. Rudy Tameka (Tumpa) was elected as the new Treasurer. Rudy has a background in finance and holds a CPA.
Concurrent with the election of the new Executive Board members Patrick Hugh stepped down as the past Secretary, Dennis Lawton stepped down as the past Treasurer and Paul Mayne stepped down as the fundraising Vice President. On the behalf of the Board Members of the STGCOBAFL, I want to extend our gratitude for the support that these individuals provided during the past two years in their respective roles as Executive Board members. Nov 13, 2009: Annual General Meeting!
The primary purpose of this general meeting is to elect new members to the board and also the executive board. FYI, it is necessary that you are current with your dues to be able to vote at this meeting, so if you are not (or are unsure) please contact Dennis Lawton and arrange to take care of the matter.
I know that this is very close to the holidays, however, I am asking that you make an extra attempt to attend the meeting so we may begin to move forward with our new team commencing January 2010.
Best Regards,
Trevor ‘Speedy’ Palmer
